Sam and I ventured to Yosemite alone last weekend because Lawrence was too sick (sinus infection) to come along. Luckily there were 20+ friends of ours there to help out! I was a bit nervous that she wouldn't sleep well, or that it would be hard to care for her while setting up camp, but it went great! My friends really stepped in to help watch her (and help me) while I set up camp and again when it was time to pack up. Plus, she was fantastic the whole time (well at least 95% of the time). She slept like a champ (about 9 hours straight) and she LOVED the trees and nature. She saw fire for the first time and had a great time watching the other 4 babies that were camping with us. It was a successful 3-month birthday, I'd have to say. All in all, a great trip! I'm still sad for Lawrence, though, because he's never been to Yosemite, and he loves camping :( Hopefully we'll at least go hiking this season (since Sam and I didn't get to go while we were at Yosemite).
Here are some pics from our trip.

I love, love, love the picture of the two of you. It is SO cute. So glad you ended up coming. It was so much fun. We'll have to do it again!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is an awesome picture. You both look so happy. And I am very impressed that you went by yourself!! Wow! You are a very capable Mama.
