Nursery painting complete!

The clouds came out perfectly on the ceiling. They are very different than I thought they would be (I was picturing drawn-in and painted fluffy round clouds), but I like this much better. The clouds seem to move as the light shifts in the room. It has a Sistine Chapel feel to me. I think baby girl will like it, too :)


We're having the carpets cleaned throughout the house on Friday, and then we're headed to Carmel on our Baby Moon. So the furniture and final move-in steps will have to be done next week/weekend. It's really starting to come together now,though, with the painting done!

This past weekend we went to see Wicked in San Francisco with some friends of ours. It was a great show! The Orpheum theater seats were horrendously uncomfortable, though. I'm sure the people behind me were quite annoyed at my constant fidgeting, but seriously, they were the hardest seats ever! My glutes are sore today and I'm not sure if it's from the seats or just walking around San Fran. It was worth it, though - very entertaining show and it gave me a whole new outlook on the Wizard of Oz.

We have our breastfeeding class tomorrow night. I wonder if there will be any practicing involved...I doubt it since partners are encouraged to come. Hopefully we'll get to see some how-to videos, though. It's a bit hard to envision the whole process when reading it in a book. After this, there's only one more class. I'm sure Lawrence is relieved for that!
