Blog slacking

I can't believe I've slacked off for the past 2 months without a post! So much has happened, I don't even know where to begin. For starters, Samantha turned 1. Then she started walking. Now she's started "talking". She also graduated to the next class at daycare, the Mountaineers (13-24 months). She loves her new classroom. They have a set schedule which includes a morning and afternoon circle time (books and songs), morning and afternoon outdoor play (she LOVES to be outside, or "ous-i" as she calls it), art time, lunch time, nap time, and morning and afternoon snack. She creates a new work of art every day, which coincidentally means her clothes are almost always ruined when she comes home. But she loves it!

Samantha has 2 new top teeth. She has new tricks, too. She waves hello and goodbye (very cute, a sideways shake of her hand, like she's throwing a football). She does high-fives on command. She can feed herself yogurt from the cup with a spoon (although she still prefers to use her hand and it's very messy). She can climb small steps if she's holding your hand. It's a very cool time :)

We've been very busy as a family over the past 2 months. Bachelor/ bachelorette parties, Sam's birthday party (with Charlotte), Amelie's birthday party, a wedding, wine tasting, a model train show, camping, triathlons, and more! Samantha also had a few (4) swim lessons that went well and she has a floaty that she sits in for our pool and loves it.

In other news, we put an offer in on a new house! It's in El Dorado Hills, but a bit out in the country (only 10 minutes from town, though). We offered less than the list price and we're still waiting to hear back. Here's a link to some pictures: House Tour. Not sure what we'll do with our under water (almost drowning) house if the offer is accepted, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it! Well, that's the major news for now. I hope to write the next blog post sooner than 2 months from now!
