It seems like time has entered warp speed now that I'm back at work. Katelyn is adjusting well to daycare, and Samantha likes having a sister at school with her. I am also adjusting well, except for the lack of sleep. Katelyn is still waking after 5-7 hours on most nights. I think we've only had one night over 9 hours in the past month. And she goes to bed at 7pm, so even 9 hours means a mid-night wake up for me.
Ah, such is the joy of babies :) Luckily she is very cute and easy going, so I don't mind the night wake ups too much. Most of the time she goes right back to sleep after she eats, so that is good, too. We've tried introducing solid foods to see if that would help her sleep longer. We started rice cereal about a month ago, and have tried avocado and banana a few times. She likes it all, but the avocado and banana seemed to make her stomach upset, so we're putting all solids (except cereal) on hold until she's 6 months.
When she started daycare, my milk stockpile started to diminish, just as I feared it would. Luckily I've slowly been able to catch up to what she's drinking most days, so we're not down to zero buffer (about a week is all, though).
We've been really lucky that Kate hasn't been sick yet. Samantha got the flu (we think) last week and had to go to urgent care with 103.8 degree fever, but Kate seems fine. I wonder if keeping her out of daycare the extra 3 months helped, because Samantha was sick several times by this age. Whatever the reason, we'll take it!
