What a pain in the pelvis!

So after a 40 minute fast walk on the treadmill Saturday I got this painful pressure on my pubic bone. I thought maybe baby girl had just turned upside down and her head was resting on my bone, but I felt her move quite a bit later that day and still no relief. Now I can barely lift my legs to put pants on and I'm waddling when I walk. It's pretty painful down there! Surely it's too early for this kind of discomfort - I mean I have 2 and a half more months until she's due!

Of course I had to reserach this problem on the internet. I found a lot of information about Symphysis Pubic Dysfunction, which occurs when the hormone relaxin, released during pregnancy, causes "the ligaments that normally keep your pelvic bone aligned to become too relaxed and stretchy." I don't really feel out of alignment, but am wondering if a trip to the chiropracter would help? I was seeing one for a few weeks in February and March due to back pain, but it didn't really seem to help much. I'd hate to waste more time (and copay money), but if it would help, it might be worth it.

On a happier note, the nursery is just about painted. We just have one more coat of paint to put on the trim and in the closet, plus the closet doors and clouds on the ceiling need to be painted, and some touch up needs done on the corners. But really I think it's one or two days away from being finished. It's amazing how long it takes to paint a tiny room when only 1 person is painting. I did help for a few hours this weekend, just with the trim paint because the odor wasn't too bad. It was hard to scoot myself along the floor, though, given this new pelvic pain :(

  1. Ouch. I know what that feels like. Starting around that time, every morning I would wake up, get out of bed and AGONY. It hurt soooo much. It would get better pretty soon after that, but for those first few minutes, I could barely walk. Not really sure what can be done about it, but just know that I completely sympathize!
