Fabric Swatches Arrived!

I was so excited to find the additional fabric swatches for the baby bedding today in the mail! I was able to pick out the ones I wanted for each of the pieces and send my order in - yay! The bottom swatch from yesterday's post will be the pattern on the inside of the crib bumper, on the top of the crib mobile, the curtain fabric, and the liner for a changing table basket. The second-to-bottom one will be the outside of the crib bumper, and the swatch above that one will be the crib skirt and the piping and ties on the bumper. I've decided to just get plain sheets in either white or ecru because they will be easier to wash (especially if I get the Clouds and Stars Quick Zip sheets which allow you to just zip off the top of the sheet without having to take off the bumpers every time you want to change them).

A more disappointing find today was an email that the cute lamb and dog picture is no longer in production! I found another website that claimed to have it, so hopefully they are holding stock...I had already ordered a frame for it!

In other news, we had beautiful weather today and I was able to get out for a walk at lunch. It was great, but I wish Lawrence could have come, too. It's weird working 2 buildings away from him and not seeing him all day! He's been trying to get to know his new coworkers, though, and went out to lunch with them today. I guess that's understandable. He started training for his new job today and said it seems pretty tactical and a bit boring, but he's probably just learning the easy stuff first. Hopefully it gets more challenging.

Tomorrow I'm headed to Berkeley in the evening for a recruiting event. Part of my new rotation program includes representing the program on the campus of my Alma mater, for MBA career fairs and other events. It should be fun, but I'm sure I'll be worn out by the time I get home, around 10pm. Well, time for American Idol and Biggest Loser!

  1. Yay! I think the combination you chose is perfect! I can't wait to see how it turns out. Eric felt a little like that when he started out at Apple and now he's frequently overwhelmed with work. Hope Lawrence's job gets more exciting for him. Have fun in Berkeley, it should be great weather tomorrow too.
